Yummy Biscuits

  • Makes about 18

Ingredients

  • 100g butter (at room temperature)
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 200g self raising flour
  • 1tsp golden syrup

The Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190c (gas mark 5).
  2. Cream the butter and the sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour and the syrup and mix to a soft dough.
  4. Roll into small balls and place on greased baking trays, giving the biscuits room to spread. Press each one down slightly.
  5. Bake for about 6-10 minutes until golden, then allow the biscuits to cool slightly before transferring them to a wire rack..
